Quality New Festival at Quarry Park
We supported the fantastic Shropshire Festivals team with putting on an amazing new event in Shrewsbury’s Quarry Park last weekend, which saw thousands of people enjoy local food and drink from several Shropshire producers and beyond, as well as an array of fabulous bands. Put all this together with plenty of activities, and the area was alive with people having a huge party in the spring sunshine.
Friday saw the event kick off with a corporate party amid the festival goers, who all enjoyed the music and the aromas of the freshly cooked food to supplement their beverages (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic!). The main stage was complimented by the activity areas and stands, which included axe throwing, mechanical bull, flower garland headbands, face glitter and much more. The pictures captured clearly show that you couldn’t help but have a great night!
Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, on Saturday the team added even more into the equation, including a top-class line up in the comedy tent. The Jamaoke really took off and the extended VIP section was in perfect position to see the acts on stage, including a Zumba class, a set by the Old Time Sailors and the usual line up of local bands who rocked the night away and kept the crowds on their feet.
With Party at the Quarry Park having a much different vibe from other Shropshire festivals such as the upcoming Shrewsbury Food Festival and the ever-popular Oktoberfest, Beth Heath and her team have once again proven their astuteness in entertaining the masses, with what is sure to be a talked about event by the public for weeks to come - at least until the gates open for Shrewsbury Food Festival!
